Link Crew is a Freshmen mentorship program that was founded by the Boomerang Project expanding across the country and has since been apart of thousands of high schools nationwide! As positive role models, Link Crew Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate freshman success”. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, upperclassmen mentors are trained to not only be successful in the program but to prepare for situations they will encounter even after graduating. Studies have shown if students have a positive experience their first year in high school, their chance for success increases dramatically! Freshmen throughout the year are introduced to various activities on campus with the goal that each and every student will find something they can take with them during their high school experience and into the future!
The Linking of a Community.
From various backgrounds to a myriad of experiences, Link Crew strives to create a community of individuals who want to make change happen not only at their school but in their local environment. By being apart of our community, students are more willing to tackle the problems that challenge them at school because we give them the tools to feel emboldened in their decisions, skills, and possibilities. Link Crew creates freshmen opportunities of community involvement big and small!
A Family Within!
Inderkum's Link Crew is a family within itself from mentor to student and everyone involved in between. We pride ourselfs in creating connection and purpose for everyone involved in the program. From the students and faculty, to the varias sponsorships and local buisenesses that assist us, we truly are one big tiger family!
